1- Inspection of all imported commodities
subject to laws regulating ionized radiations and their risk
prevention, as well as food control, agriculture and import
and export. As regards commodities imported through the
Temporary Admission System , inspection is limited to
passing the microbial and blight testing.
2- Inspection of all exported commodities subject to laws
regulating ionized radiations and their risk prevention, as
well as food control, agriculture and import and export.
3- Overseeing inspection of exported and imported
commodities subject to rules governing censorship on
literary works and the repression of fraud and cheat, as
well as practicing pharmacy besides toxic materials used in
industry, control of precious metals and the protection of
antiquities, measurements and dry measures.
4- Optional inspection of commodities upon the request of
applicants.
5- Issuance of certificates of origin for the commodities of
Egyptian origin and others acquiring the Egyptian origin.
6- Commercial Register Keeping :
• Exporters Register.
• Importers Register.
• Agents and Commercial Mediators Register.
• Scientific and Consultative Bureau Register.
• The Integration Cards with Sudan Register.
7- The activity of sorting agricultural crops for crop-
specific rating.

8- The participation with the EOS in the amendment of
specifications related to imported foodstuffs and industrial
goods.
9- Printing of guidebooks elaborating on steps of services
provided by GOEIC.
10- Printing of researches related to exported commodities
in favor of better illustrated problems and their relevant
solutions.
11- Designing and printing of brochures to facilitate
reaching out to dealers with GOEIC while identifying major
steps and procedures pursued for service – rendering.
12- Printing of the books related to Ministry’s affiliated
bodies and entities.
13- Printing of newsletters related to commercial
registration.
14- Inspection of contracting samples of imported industrial
